Morgan is a director of photography and an assistant professor of practice in cinematography.

 

He is a graduate of the English National Film and Television School, the Northern Film School of England and the Budapest Cinematography Masterclass. Morgan has been mentored by respected cinematographers such as Brian Tufano BSC (BAFTA for Billy Elliot), Billy Williams BSC (Oscar for Gandhi) and Vilmos Zsigmond ASC (Oscar for Close Encounters of the Third Kind).

 

He has shot feature films, music videos, web serials and documentaries. Morgan has filmed in countries as diverse as England, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the USA. He is familiar with Arri Alexa, Red, 35mm, 16mm and various other digital formats.

 

Morgan has taught at Open University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, the Film Academy of Baptist University of Hong Kong, the School for Higher and Professional Education at the Vocational Training Council of Hong Kong, the School of Film and Television of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong Design Institute, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and Lasalle College of the Arts of Singapore.

 

Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Academy of Film and Communication Technology of Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou and travels between China and Hong Kong SAR where he is a permanent resident.
